Volunteer

Interested in Volunteering?

Let us know how to get back to you.

Are you looking for ways to volunteer and make a different in the life of another person? Do you have the gift of compassion and want to use it to offer compassionate support to the seriously ill, their families, and caregivers? We would love for you to join the Lifeline family as a volunteer in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Temple, or Waco.

We would love to have you as an individual. There is something sacred about joining the presence of God in a hospital room. There is something holy about journeying with the seriously ill and their families as they traverse complex situations. Our volunteers undergo hours of training and practice with our Lifeline Chaplains to prepare them to help others in crisis. Upon completion of their training, volunteers are placed and badged at a local hospital as a volunteer chaplain. Throughout the entire process and once a volunteer is placed, our Lifeline Chaplains mentor and encourage our volunteers as they offer compassionate support in the hospital.

We would also love to have you as a group. Lifeline deeply benefits from volunteer groups such as our Soft Touch Ministry Teams. For decades, the pillow has been a symbol of compassionate support and tender care to those suffering serious illnesses. Our Lifeline chaplains and volunteers give thousands of handsewn pillows and other comfort items to hospital patients each year. Perhaps, you have a group of generous and kindhearted individuals who would love to bless the lives of others through Lifeline Chaplaincy, we would love to hear from you.

If you find yourself wanting to become a volunteer in one of these capacities, please give us a call or fill out the form before, and we will put you in contact with the person who coordinates volunteers in your area.
