QPR: Question, Persuade, Refer: A Gatekeeper Training for Preventing Suicide. Presented by Dr. Timothy Parker

Dr. Tim Parker completed his PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Tech University where his dissertation focused on coping and resilience in couples who have a child with Down Syndrome. He also holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Rochester College (now Rochester University). In addition to founding the M.MFT program at Lipscomb University Austin Center, Dr. Parker works with couples, families, and individuals experiencing a wide range of life stressors. He has specific training in working with couples, but has also spent time working with Veterans, youth in the juvenile system, and adults wanting to improve where they are. When not providing therapy, Dr. Parker enjoys teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels and spending time with his spouse and children.
