Volunteer

Do you have a heart for compassion and a desire to make a difference in someone’s life? Lifeline Chaplaincy would love to welcome you into our volunteer family. We’re currently looking for volunteers in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Temple, and Waco who want to offer meaningful support to patients, families, and caregivers facing serious illness.

As a volunteer, you’ll receive training and hands-on guidance from our Lifeline Chaplains to prepare you for ministry in a hospital setting. After training, you may be placed as a volunteer chaplain at a local hospital, with ongoing mentorship and encouragement along the way.

You can also serve as part of a group, such as our Soft Touch Ministry Teams, which create hand-sewn pillows and comfort items for our chaplains and volunteers to deliver to patients—simple gifts that carry powerful reminders of care and presence.
